SAFETY

general  safety  plan  and  manual

Our General Safety Plan and Manual were designed to reflect company policy. We will endeavor always
to comply with safety regulations implemented by federal, state and local agencies. Moreover, we believe
that accidents can be avoided through good training methods, common sense and employee initiative.
The plan is intended to assist the Director of Safety with employee indoctrination.
SAFETY PLAN - AREAS OF EMPHASIS
  • Employee compliance
  • Reporting job-related injuries and illnesses
  • General first-aid and practices
  • Key safety rules
  • Personal hygiene and sanitation
  • Safety responsibilities of supervisors
  • Employee training
  • Rules for toxic vapors and liquids
  • Materials handling
  • Machine and tool maintenance and inspection
  • Loc-out/tag-out procedures
  • Forklift safety rules
  • Back-injury protection
  • Personal protective equipment
  • Perilous periods
  • Disciplinary periods and penalties
Furthermore, because of the nature of our work, we have developed a separate and very stringent safetyplan and manual to protect employees from the hazards of entering into confined places. This
specialized training includes the identifications and evaluation of hazards, procedures for safe entry
and for testing and monitoring conditions, and the implementation of various checklists and permits
to ensure employee safety.
